You have a wonderful website, but it sure makes me homesick for the wonderful state of Maine. I was born and lived in Maine until I got married to an Air Force career man. We come back every year to visit my sister in Old Orchard beach. I ordered some of your products including an etched bottle for my husband of his favorite lighthouse. We love Maine maple syrup.

Hi all:
As I am putting on your new products, I am amazed at all the new an unique products you now carry!
For people reading this, I highly recommend Bob & Barbs products. (try the Maple Pepper with Garlic, holy hanna that is good)
There is so many neat new bottles now, I want one of each. The glass globe, glass grape bottle, the rocking horse and so many more. The pictures don't do them justice!
Happy Holidays!

I think it's cool reading how you make maple syrup compared to how I was brought up making it eith my gramps. I was always wading through the snow going tree to tree collecting the sap and pouring it into jugs to carry back to the sap house. Hey Barb keep putting some of those good recipes on your web page.

We received a Christmas gift of your syrup and mix from a relative who lives in Maine. We are truly enjoying our Maine pancake and syrup breakfasts. The syrup is delicious and the mix makes very light, fluffy pancakes which are better than we have ever made. Was so pleased to see you had a website which will definitely be bookmarked to order items for ourselves and as gifts for other family members.

Saw your booth or stand at Bangor Mall and was very impressed. It looked good and you had a lage display of maple products.I had no idea that so much went on in the sugar house as I drive by it in the spring of the year on my way to a small family operation up the road in Elliottsville. We have learned that if the steam is coming out of your house-then we will have sap for a weekend boil. I will plan to stop by someday on my way through. In the past I have always ordered my supplies directly from Leader/grimm and think that you may be able to handle my modist needs

I stumbled on your site while searching for information about your industry. In Oregon, we have lots of maple trees, but NO maple sugar agriculture.
I,ve wondered about that. When one thinks of maple sugar/syrup, etc., we always think of your part of the contry. What is it that makes your area more ideal for producing maple sugar? Any Idea where I can get more information on how you do it?
Aanyway, I like your site.
Best regards from an old Oregonian!

Bob, I also tap sugarbushes here in MN. This is my 1st year with my own woods producing, but I have helped my friends who have their own branded label since 1952. Does anyone besides you sell syrup on the web? Do you and the locals there prefer honey or dark and robust color? We have several woods on vacuum, mine I carried by hand (4 ton)! When you get a chance respond to the questions I asked Hmmm typing this has kind of hungry, maybe a bowl of vanilla ice cream with you know what on the top Gotta go!, Flash.

I did syrup the first time last year. It was great. I would like to upgrade my process. How much propane would it take to boil 100 gallons of sap? How long would that take? Do I need special burners? Last year I did one batch and will probably not exceed that due to limited trees, time, and ecomomics.

Hi, Bob!
I'm very far from you. But it was really great to read about your family-business. I am an observer in the most popular ukrainian business-magazine "Capital".
Now I write an article about world sugar market & sugar production & production of sugar-containing products.
Bob! Your " History" was super. I even think that we'll use some facts from it to write a little story. More then 40,000 of our readers will get to know "Bob's Sugar House" . What do you think about it? May be you have something else to tell them? Come mail me!
P.S. Would you be so kind as to send me your photo? It will be published too.
P.P.S. If somebody in the world wants to tell anything to ukrainian people -- don't hezitate to mail me! OK?

Hey there Barbara & Bob-long time-no see. Randy & I enjoy your maple syrup 2 or 3 times a month. That was a great birthday present from mom to Randy. Believe me, as soon as we run out, we'll be ordering more. Hope you have a wonderful holiday and great new year. I'll be home in June for Chris' graduation from FA and the birth of another grandchild (Heidi). Hope to see you then. Cheryl

Hmmph! We wanted to be the first to scrawl our names in your guestbook. Oh well! Scott wondered about marinating with maple syrup? He has become quite the little chef, you see.
Good work family ... now let the orders commence.

I love your logo. I used to tap maple trees with the old taps and use open buckets. The new way is so much better. We used to boil down the sap over the wood stove. So many times the sap would turn to Maple candy come morning and yum! So much for the pancakes those mornings. What memories this site brings back.
